İstanbul Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Halk Sağlığı AD. The types of cancers that have developed during the occupational exposure are being identified as occupational cancers. In the work environment some of the agents that the workers are exposed can be characterized as an occupational carcinogen. Occupational carcinogens can be composed of solely physical or chemical factors in some cases they may be have both of them. The researchers in the IARC (International Agency for Research on Cancer) have found that certain chemicals which are being used in some occupations are defined as significantly carcinogenic as a result of animal studies. In addition epidemiological studies proved the carcinogenicity of these chemicals and manifested the relation with the work environment. In this paper the results of these studies were emphasized and accepted as an useful data for the researches in this field. Keywords :
